Metier Chosen by Lockheed Martin for Unprecedented National Archives Program; Metier Will Provide Predictive Portfolio Management on the NARA ERA Design Contract

WASHINGTON -- Metier, Ltd., an innovator in predictive project portfolio management software and services, today announced a new contract award. Metier will provide predictive portfolio management for Lockheed Martin as a named partner on the National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA) Electronic Records Archives (ERA) design contract. This engagement further strengthens the long-time partnership between Metier and Lockheed Martin on a cadre of successful large-scale programs.

NARA is developing ERA in response to the challenge posed by the enormous volume and complexity of electronic data generated by the President, the Congress and the Courts. The unprecedented ERA program will be a comprehensive system for preserving virtually any kind of electronic record. Announced this summer, NARA has chosen Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions (TSS) as one of two companies that will design a technological solution to the challenge of preserving electronic information across space and time.

To fulfill the management aspect of this huge endeavor, Lockheed Martin selected Metier to provide cutting edge, dynamic and real-time integrated cost and schedule management for the portfolio. A leader in advanced systems integration, Lockheed Martin will use the patent-pending WorkLenz predictive technology to build the system on time, according to specifications and within budget.
