CNF Inc. Sets New Date for Third-Quarter Investor Conference Call

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- CNF Inc. (NYSE:CNF) announced today that it expects to release its third-quarter earnings before the market opens on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. The company also plans to host a conference call for shareholders and the investment community that morning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (9:00 a.m. Pacific). On the call management will review results of the quarter ending on September 30. CNF said last week that it would reschedule its third-quarter earnings announcement in order to present results on the basis of continuing and discontinued operations following its announcement of the agreement to sell its Menlo Worldwide Forwarding unit to UPS.
The call can be accessed by dialing (800) 700-7860 or (612) 332-0530 (for international callers) and is expected to last approximately one hour. Callers are requested to dial in at least five minutes before the start of the call. The call will also be available through live internet webcast at www.cnf.com and www.streetevents.com.
An audio replay will be available for one week following the call by calling (800) 475-6701 or (320) 365-3844 (for international callers) and using access code 744533. The replay will also be available at the same webcasting sites providing access to the live call.
