HP Leads in Information Technology Support Services Revenue Worldwide in 2003; For Second Year in a Row HP Claims Top Revenue Spot among Providers of Infrastructure Support Services

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP (NYSE:HPQ)(Nasdaq:HPQ) today announced that it is ranked No. 1 in infrastructure support services revenue in 2003 among the world's top providers of support services, according to a recent Gartner report.(1) The analyst firm's report showed that HP moved from $7.889 billion in 2002 to $8.028 billion in 2003, accounting for 6.2 percent of the total infrastructure services market. The results mark the second consecutive year that HP has led the information technology industry in support services revenue.

The Gartner report studies revenue from more than 450 IT service providers and is analyzed in four broad categories:

--Major Service -- hardware maintenance and support, software support

--Platform -- computing and connectivity, sub-platforms within computing and connectivity

--Vertical Industry

--Major geographic region and country

HP's No. 1 ranking follows a string of customer satisfaction awards for the company across its global business. Recent awards include:
