ASG Announces Product Replacement Plan for Computer Associates -CA- Customers; CA Customers Offered Comparable Technology, Free Conversion Analysis and Flexible Pricing Options
Business Wire, Oct 18, 2004
NAPLES, Fla. & ORLANDO, Fla. -- ASG, an enterprise software and professional services provider to Global 5000 companies, announced today at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo the launch of a CA product replacement plan. Under the plan, CA customers may replace their scheduling technologies with comparable ASG technology and pay only annual maintenance. ASG will not charge customers for the purchase of the ASG-equivalent replacement technology.
Internally dubbed the "Better Option Plan" for CA customers, the program builds on its ongoing successful conversion of nearly 150 CA customers from Unicenter(R) job management tools to ASG's job scheduling solutions, such as ASG-Zeke(TM) for z/OS(R). ASG extends its product replacement strategy to all CA customers and includes ASG's complete product portfolio -- including ASG's newest distributed scheduling and workflow management offering, ASG-Zena(TM).
"For those CA customers who are eager to switch over to our market-leading products, we offer them peace of mind; excellent technology; free conversion analysis and the opportunity to take advantage of ASG's Yes-based Licensing(TM) program -- our totally flexible pricing options," said ASG President and CEO Arthur. L. Allen. "If CA customers are looking for a stable company with good products at a fair price, ASG should be their vendor of choice."
ASG has a history in successfully converting customers from major third-party products to ASG products. ASG's Conversion Services Division meticulously outlines methodologies and uses automated programs to handle any conversion situation quickly and accurately. In the case of ASG-Zeke, the conversion process starts with a free analysis of the customer's current scheduling workload, and results in a complete scope of work.
"A great inhibitor to migrating to another program is the risk of conversion," said Jim Holland, Vice President of Product Management at ASG. "Having our conversion team conduct the conversion analysis and do it free-of-charge makes it a risk-free move for all the stakeholders."
ASG also extends its newly introduced Replacement Portfolio Access License (RPAL) program to CA customers, which offers the following advantages:
--Access to ASG solutions with no initial licensing fee
--Sub-capacity pricing
--Replacement of CA products with ASG products on an as-needed basis
--Immediate deployment and implementation of ASG products
--One-stop shopping for enterprise software
"ASG is committed to ensuring its customers achieve business success," said Jim Bladich, Vice President of Strategic Sales at ASG. "By pairing exceptional end-to-end software solutions with innovative, cost-effective licensing models, we reduce lengthy negotiation times and offer customers a no-obligation licensing program that serves as a economical way to replace existing products with ASG solutions. Our RPAL program has received a welcome response from our customers."
