What: Protecting Against a New Breed of Web Services Threats:
From the Edge to the App
Enterprises implementing Web Services should plan to
defend against the growing threat of a new class of
application intrusions that include corrupt SOAP web
methods, illegal content based routing and malformed XML
attacks, to name a few. This panel will discuss how
enterprises can proactively guard against cross
application security threats and why current network
firewall solutions are not adequately designed to protect
XML data and Web services.
This discussion will look at the emerging area of XML
intrusion detection and prevention as a means to lock down
enterprise applications without limiting the accessibility
of Web Services.
