Rock.com Lets the Tape Roll with Exclusive Artist Interviews; Mick Fleetwood Announces Plans for Fleetwood Mac's 40th Anniversary Reunion Concert

Business Wire, Oct 19, 2004

HOLLYWOOD -- Rock.com, the Official Site of Rock Music, now has on-demand artist interviews with no edits. "We place the actual live interview on the site," said Scott Feldman, Director of Media Relations, who conducts the interviews for Rock.com. "There are no transcripts to read. Instead, you hear the artists in their own voice telling you what you can't hear anywhere else."

Rock.com has had the privilege of speaking with a range of artists from Blink-182 to Suzanne Vega. One of these artists had a concert delayed by cattle. The other is a huge Howard Stern fan. Which is which? Listen to the interviews. "I often get e-mails where listeners say, 'I can't believe my favorite artist said that,'" said Feldman.

Below are some of Rock.com's interview highlights:

--"Well, I'd like to reunite all of the band members over the last forty years, and ..." Rock.com recently spoke with legendary drummer Mick Fleetwood. During the conversation, the topic of Fleetwood Mac's 40th anniversary came up, and what he had to say was, well, you just need to hear it...

--"We were videotaping their concert in Osaka even though we weren't supposed to, and ..." Rock.com's exclusive interviews get you the inside scoop on the biggest bands. Hoobastank had some pretty good stories to tell about their tour of Japan with Guns 'n Roses...

--"It was on dark, stormy November night that Jerry was flipping pages in a musical term dictionary and found ..." During an interview with Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, Rock.com was able to get to the bottom of a variety of rumors and stories about one of Rock's most famous (and infamous) bands. Here's a great opportunity to get the inside story of one of Rock's legendary acts.

"The general idea for our interviews is to make a connection between our users and their favorite artist," said Steve Newman, CEO of Rock.com. "It's just another way Rock.com fulfills the needs of music lovers worldwide."
