MRO Software to Preview Maximo Enterprise Suite at Gartner's 2004 Symposium ITxpo; Company Previews Next-Generation Asset and Service Management Suite
Business Wire, Oct 20, 2004
ORLANDO, Fla. -- MRO Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: MROI), the leading provider of strategic asset management solutions, today announced that the company will preview its next-generation Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES) at this year's Gartner Symposium ITxpo. MXES combines asset and service management functionality with an IT infrastructure library (ITIL)-based solution for IT Asset Management and IT Service desks.
In today's complex business environment, companies are transforming their internal asset management strategies to aggressively align with corporate business objectives. Because of this, their focus has shifted from simply managing assets to managing the service they perform and the strategic contribution they make to the business. MRO Software's Maximo Enterprise Suite builds on the Company's core expertise in asset management to deliver an expanded, comprehensive solution encompassing service, customer and contract management, including full service desk capabilities.
"We've worked extensively with our customers and partners to develop the next-generation of strategic asset management solutions, the Maximo Enterprise Suite" said Patricia C. Foye, executive vice president global marketing and alliances at MRO Software. "Our deep-rooted expertise in asset and service management allows us to naturally extend our solution with capabilities required for incident, problem, change and release management. When it comes to managing critical assets, we now have comprehensive asset, work, service, contract, procurement, materials management capabilities for any and all of an organization's critical assets."
The expanded MXES platform now includes key ITAM capabilities and IT Service Desk functionality that allows companies to consolidate their disparate asset management systems onto one. Customers can now manage more business processes with fewer systems. This provides customers with a complete asset management solution on a single platform uniting the essential asset groups involved in almost all organizations--production, facilities, transportation and IT assets.
The Company expects to deliver general availability of Maximo Enterprise Suite in early calendar year 2005.
