GlowPoint Launches New Web Site Spotlighting Revolutionary Video Call Director Services; GlowPoint.com Features Anytime, Anywhere Access to Video Call Mailbox and Shows the IP Video Experience in Action

Business Wire, Oct 20, 2004

HILLSIDE, N.J. -- GlowPoint, Inc., (NASDAQ:GLOW) the world's leading broadcast-quality IP-based video communications service provider, today announced it has launched a new corporate web site designed to provide visitors a firsthand interactive experience with IP video, spotlighting the recently released Video Call Director(SM) services. The new site provides anytime, anywhere access to the GlowPoint Video Call Mailbox(SM), a first-of-its kind video answering machine that ensures customers never miss a video call again. Also featured is a virtual tour of the new Video Call Assistant(SM) service featuring "Lisa," a friendly face in full motion video that intercepts calls that fail to complete and offers callers a menu of help videos including information and assistance to solve common dialing problems. The new site, designed to more effectively communicate the company's value proposition and better serve customers and partners, is now live at www.glowpoint.com.

The GlowPoint Video Call Mailbox was recently introduced as part of GlowPoint's, patent-pending Video Call Director service. When a GlowPoint customer is away from his or her conference room or office or unable to take an incoming video call, the caller can choose to leave a video message using the Video Call Mailbox. The system then instantly notifies the GlowPoint customer via e-mail that a new video message has arrived. Now, by simply clicking on the password-protected My Video Mailbox area on GlowPoint.com, GlowPoint customers can screen their video messages or choose to view the entire message from wherever they are using a standard internet connection.

The updated site now provides users a true interactive experience by enabling them to see firsthand GlowPoint's broadcast-quality video communications services. Visitors can, for example, view portions of the NFL draft as broadcast on live television over the GlowPoint network or can browse through archived presentations and seminars captured using GlowPoint's webcasting service. GlowPoint customers can also directly reach CustomerPoint, GlowPoint's password protected customer portal, helping them manage their account, view real time video call detail and billing information, schedule conference bridges and access reference materials and user guides. Reflecting the recently refreshed GlowPoint brand, the new site is easy to navigate and offers both high-level information on the value of using video as a business communications tool and details on GlowPoint's unique IP video network and services. Additionally, the site provides information on the benefits GlowPoint video communications solutions deliver to businesses in key sectors such as legal, education, broadcasting and government.

"Communicating with our customers, partners and others interested in video solutions is a strategic priority, and updating our web site is an important step in building the GlowPoint brand and reinforcing our message," said Stuart Gold, Vice President of Brand and Product Marketing at GlowPoint. "GlowPoint.com now provides visitors a firsthand experience that demonstrates what our customers experience every day -- the dramatic difference between legacy ISDN videoconferencing systems and the GlowPoint IP-based video communications solution. The site, which we will continue to enhance, is a dynamic communications tool which better reflects our brand personality and provides richer information while offering more meaningful user interaction."
