Business Wire, Oct 25, 2004
AUSTIN, Texas -- Wireless Network Product Allows Remote Irrigation Management, Helps Growers Maximize Limited Resources
CriticalWireless announced today it has signed an exclusive technology licensing agreement with Lindsay Manufacturing (NYSE:LNN) in conjunction with Lindsay's new FieldSENTRY(TM) system. The wireless remote monitoring and control system allows growers to manage their irrigation systems through the Internet, a cellular phone or PDA.
Dirk Lenie, Lindsay Vice President of Marketing, said the technology provides an affordable, maintenance-free operations management solution that works with most center pivot irrigation systems.
"CriticalWireless is an industry leader in enabling equipment and processes with web-based wireless remote monitoring and control," he said. "We are pleased to be able to share this technology with growers who want to precisely manage their operation. By allowing growers to monitor and control their irrigation equipment from anywhere, FieldSENTRY helps ensure that resources such as water, energy, and manpower are used in the most efficient way possible."
CriticalWireless President Joe Christie said the agreement (terms of which were not disclosed) offers tremendous market growth potential.
"We're pleased to be a part of Lindsay's FieldSENTRY solution," Christie said. "The response from growers who have been field testing the system has been 100% positive."
