AmberPoint Extends SOA Management Market Leadership with the Signing of Additional, Prominent New Customers
Business Wire, Oct 26, 2004
OAKLAND, Calif. -- --Marquee New Customers Include Kaiser Permanente, United States Department of Defense Transportation Command (TRANSCOM), Hawaii Medical Service Association (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Hawaii), Electricite du France and Telecom Italia
AmberPoint today announced that it has furthered its market leadership with the addition of several marquee new customers for its service-oriented architecture (SOA) management software. Organizations that have recently selected AmberPoint's management solutions include, among others, Kaiser Permanente, the United States Department of Defense Transportation Command (TRANSCOM), Hawaii Medical Service Association (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Hawaii), French utilities leader Electricite du France, and Italian telecommunications giant Telecom Italia. In addition to these named customers, AmberPoint also signed two of the world's largest financial services companies as well as other prominent companies across a variety of industries. In addition, AmberPoint completed significant follow-on business with existing customers and grew the distribution of its complimentary developer's edition software, AmberPoint Express, to more than 2,000 users.
AmberPoint is consistently chosen over competitors for the breadth of its management capabilities, its non-invasive approach to managing service-oriented systems, and its native support for both .NET and Java platforms. With these new customers, AmberPoint continues to expand its lead in the SOA management market with the highest revenues from software licenses, most paid customers, and most customers in production.
"While many vendors deliver service-oriented architecture solutions, few have managed to consistently report real -- as in paid for -- successes in large organizations," said Tom Rhinelander, president and founder of New Rowley Group. "AmberPoint's successes help differentiate it from struggling competitors and give it continued experience working with the critical, but evolving, SOA infrastructure in large companies."
"We're very pleased with our ongoing growth since we first launched our company," said John Hubinger, president and CEO of AmberPoint. "We attribute much of our success in gaining new customers to the strong partnerships we've forged in this market. Our customer signings, combined with the follow-on revenue we're gaining from existing customers as they go into production, is positioning us well to continue to prosper in this rapidly growing market."
AmberPoint provides the management layer that is critical for realizing the return on investment from distributed, heterogeneous service-oriented systems. AmberPoint's solutions provide comprehensive management and security capabilities without requiring any changes to the services themselves. AmberPoint was the first Web services management vendor with solutions that run natively in both .NET and Java, enabling its software products to fully leverage the advantages of both prevailing Web services platforms.
