WorkForce Software Announces Alliance with Blue Pumpkin to Offer Contact Centers a Complete Time and Attendance System
Business Wire, Oct 26, 2004
LIVONIA, Mich. -- WorkForce Software, Inc., a leading provider of web-based time and attendance, announced a strategic alliance with Blue Pumpkin, an industry leader in enterprise workforce optimization solutions to create the new Blue Pumpkin Time Record Manager.
With WorkForce Software's time and attendance technology at its core, the new offering is integrated tightly with Blue Pumpkin's Director Enterprise and Activity Manager giving contact centers a unified scheduling, data collection, and time and attendance solution. Time Record Manager directly impacts the bottom line by enabling accurate pay for actual work, while automating the processes associated with payroll calculations. The product seamlessly integrates with the most popular human resource, payroll, and ERP systems, providing a best-of-breed system.
Unlike traditional time-keeping systems that rely on manual entry and time clocks or cards to track hours worked, Time Record Manager tracks and collects actual agent activity data by way of the Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) phone switch. This enables accurate pay for actual work done, eliminating costly "time theft," which occurs when employees clock in, but don't start work right away. The technology also eliminates the time-intensive, error-prone processes associated with time cards and time clocks. An added benefit of the solution is that it notably changes the role of supervisors into true mentors, with more time focused on coaching and development instead of acting as "time police" monitoring their agents' work habits.
"We are excited about new addition to our workforce optimization suite and working with WorkForce Software to bring this unique product to market," said Rajeev Venkat, director of solutions marketing for Blue Pumpkin. "WorkForce Software offers the flexibility we needed to complete our suite and solve the time and attendance needs of the contact centers."
Time Record Manager will be sold as a part of the Blue Pumpkin Workforce Optimization Suite, with WorkForce Software providing professional services and support. Together, the two companies provide a suite that ensures an increase in efficiencies by automating business practices as well as an immediate return on investment.
