Kofax Launches New Ascent Solution Developer Program to Foster Technology-Sharing, Sales Among Channel Partners
Business Wire, Oct 28, 2004
IRVINE, Calif. -- Enables Kofax Resellers and Solutions Integrators to Market Specialized Ascent-based Applications to Worldwide Partner Infrastructure
Kofax (LSE:DCM), the world's largest information capture vendor, today announced the launch of its new Ascent Solution Developer program, which offers the company's Gold- and Platinum-level Certified Solution Providers (CSPs) a unique opportunity to introduce and promote their specialized Ascent Capture-based business applications within the Kofax sales infrastructure and to the company's channel of more than 1,100 CSPs. This program affords the company's top-tier resellers an opportunity to expand the reach of their own sales efforts by offering their Ascent-based business solution for resale to other CSPs around the world.
"The Ascent Solution Developer program provides an unprecedented networking and sales opportunity for CSPs to reach a truly global audience with their solutions," said Rick Murphy, president and CEO at Kofax. "Through this program, our partners can promote their custom Ascent applications within our worldwide channel and sales infrastructure, and ultimately drive sales of their solutions."
According to Bradley White, president of Image Integration Systems (IIS), an Ohio-based developer of comprehensive document management and imaging solutions, and a Kofax CSP, the Ascent Solution Developer program is another example of the continued commitment by Kofax to its network of reselling partners. IIS views the program as an effective, efficient way for systems integrators and solution providers in the channel to stay abreast of the latest developments and custom solutions built on the Ascent platform.
"We've been able to implement specialized Ascent-based solutions into organizations that incorporate our DocuSphere Workflow product with PeopleSoft ERP as part of their custom information capture system," said White. "As a longtime Kofax CSP, we see this program as another way that Kofax is empowering its channel partners with a means of expanding sales and marketing initiatives in the channel, as well as the capacity to promote their own custom, Ascent-based solution."
Digital Vision, a U.K.-based systems integrator specializing in automated data capture, document management and accounts payable automation, was the first Kofax CSP to join the program since its launch this month. Digital Vision entered the program with a specialized Ascent business application which addresses data correction and validation techniques in documents and forms for the information capture market.
"We are continually striving to improve the quality of services and products that we provide to both the channel and the corporate end user, and being a part of the Ascent Solution Developer program enables us to do that," said Dennis Wright, director of Digital Vision. "We built our Ascent solution with the goal to extend the business benefits that Ascent offers to enterprise organizations, and now we can more effectively highlight the benefits of our offering among our peers and to the overall channel community."
With an installation base of more than 12,000 locations, the Ascent platform provides powerful production capture technology that enables organizations to collect large volumes of forms and documents, transform them into useful, retrievable electronic information, and then deliver it all into a variety of workflow and document management systems. The software can also capture e-documents and XML streams as well as enable front-end integration with enterprise applications.
For more information about the Ascent Solution Developer Program, CSPs can contact their local Kofax sales representative.
