Business Wire, Oct 30, 2004

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Interfuse Technology Corp. last night received an Abacus Award from the American Electronics Association (AeA) in recognition of its breakthrough OfficeLock(R) file-security software technology. The AeA Florida Council honored Interfuse at its 11th annual Abacus Awards ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Other Florida companies selected to receive the Abacus Award last night were Applied Digital and CrossMatch Technologies. Dr. Earlean Smiley, Broward County Schools Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, was presented an Abacus Award for Technology Educator of the Year. The University of Central Florida was recognized as the University Partner of the Year.

OfficeLock Enterprise(TM) is a multi-function security solution that embeds corporate security-policy attributes - including encryption and rights management - within the file, enabling businesses to protect their information on other networks, independent of any server connection or network security level. OfficeLock G2(TM) meets or exceeds all U.S. Government requirements for processing sensitive-but-unclassified (SBU) data. OfficeLock is available now and has been successfully deployed by numerous corporations and government agencies nationwide.

Interfuse President & CEO Phil Viscomi said, "The AeA has a long history of providing valuable support services to its members. Its Abacus program recognizes technologies that can have a profoundly positive impact on growing businesses. We are grateful for this recognition and look forward to participating in the Florida Council's ongoing programs."
