SAP Certifies InterchangeDigital Software as ``Powered by SAP NetWeaver''
Business Wire, Oct 5, 2004
SAN DIEGO -- InterchangeDigital's PaRTS Solution Certified for Integration with SAP NetWeaver, iView Software and Java J2EE Deployment on SAP Web Application Server
[R][sup.3]InterchangeDigital, Inc., a leading provider of web-based graphics lifecycle management software, and a subsidiary of Schawk, Inc., (NYSE:SGK), announced integration certification of PaRTS (Production and Resource Tracking System) version 5.2 with the SAP NetWeaver platform. SAP certified the compatibility of PaRTS with iView software for SAP Enterprise Portal 5.0, and that the PaRTS application runs effectively on the SAP Web Application Server (SAP Web AS) solution Release 6.20. As such, InterchangeDigital has achieved certification under the "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" program. [R][sup.3]"InterchangeDigital scaled PaRTS to seamlessly integrate and run in the SAP NetWeaver platform," said Jim Hanekamp, president of InterchangeDigital. "Working with SAP to obtain this certification is part of InterchangeDigital's commitment to its clients and the industry to drive an enterprise solution for automating workflows and asset management." [R][sup.3]PaRTS(R), first introduced to consumer products companies in 1998, was created for packaging workflows by packaging professionals and is comprised of a suite of integrated web-based tools including digital asset management, workflow and project management, online proofing, asset distribution, and electronic usage reports. The modular design of PaRTS permits rapid installation and deployment, and it may be customized and configured to suit an organization's unique corporate standards and process requirements. [R][sup.3]"The focus of what consumer products companies have to deliver to retailers has shifted," noted Hanekamp. "In the past, getting quality product to a retailer's warehouses on time was the focus. Now, quality product is assumed, even demanded, and retailers require quality data to arrive with the product. This data ranges from UPC codes, to proper ingredients, to environmental handling instructions, as well as market specific retailing and promotional data." [R][sup.3]Hanekamp elaborated: "The growing number of requirements related to the implementation of RFID, GLN's, GTIN, and EAN-UCC compliance have fostered all of our customers into an environment where pure and accurate data are now core responsibilities. PaRTS and its integration with SAP NetWeaver provide an environment where sensitive and ever-changing data can be properly and reliably moved throughout the supply chain and into the retailers' data repositories." [R][sup.3]The SAP(R) NetWeaver(TM) platform is the open integration and application platform that enables change. SAP NetWeaver helps companies align IT with their business and allows companies to obtain more business value from existing IT investments and to deploy a services-oriented architecture. SAP NetWeaver reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) and complexity across the entire IT landscape. [R][sup.3]InterchangeDigital's PaRTS offers a best-of-breed solution for organizations that need to store, manage, and repurpose graphic elements within a regulated and managed environment. When process workflows, graphic assets and Online Proofing (OLP) are implemented, the PaRTS solution provides an invaluable tool for global organizations requiring greater control over their labeling and packaging processes. [R][sup.3]PaRTS also complies fully with FDA Title 21 Code Federal Regulations Part 11: Electronic Records and Electronic Signatures (US FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
