Muvico Theaters, Inc. and The Mills Corporation jointly announced today that industry leader Muvico Theaters will build a 26-screen, 6,500-seat 160,000-square-foot megaplex movie theater at Meadowlands Xanadu, the 4.8 million-square-foot family entertainment, shopping and office complex in Northern New Jersey. Megaplex plans include a Premier Level with nine balcony auditoriums and a full-service restaurant and bar plus a 15,000 square foot rooftop terrace featuring a 60-foot outdoor screen for outdoor movie viewing with a helipad and private access for VIPs to the Premier Level.

According to Muvico President Hamid Hashemi, the new Muvico Xanadu 26 Theater will be a "key player" at Meadowlands Xanadu, complementing the many family entertainment and brand experiences to be available at the complex as well as the nearby sports venues. Adjacent to the Meadowlands Sports Complex, on the western spur of the New Jersey Turnpike/Interstate 95 (Exit 18W), the new Muvico Xanadu 26 will be located approximately four miles from Manhattan and equidistant from the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge.

Known for delivering grand "bigger than life" theatrical architecture, and movie theater amenities and features unlike any in the world, Muvico will set the stage for unparalleled movie enjoyment for guests at its new Meadowlands Xanadu venue.
