PEC Solutions Awarded Contract to Provide Technical Support to the United States Army Medical Information Technology Center

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Engagement Valued at up to $3.4 Million
PEC Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ NM:PECS), announced today that the United States Army Medical Information Technology Center (USAMITC) has awarded the company a contract to provide services in support of the deployment of Windows 2003 Operating System and Active Directory, and Exchange 2003 and post-deployment support. The contract period is for one base year plus two option years, and is valued at $3.4M, if all options are exercised.
The mission of the United States Army Medical Information Technology Center (USAMITC) is to develop, deploy, and sustain the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Enterprise Information Technology systems and serve as the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Chief Information Officer's operational arm.
PEC will provide security engineering, system domain administration, and technical support to USAMITC with their Windows Server 2003/Exchange Server 2003 enterprise migration effort. This will involve providing support to 50 sites worldwide affecting 65,000 users.
