ExchangeGuard Image Replacement Document -IRD - Solution from Fiserv Imagesoft To Be Implemented by SunTrust
Business Wire, Oct 6, 2004
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Fiserv Imagesoft, a unit of Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq:FISV), said SunTrust Bank has chosen to implement its ExchangeGuard IRD software solution to compose and produce image replacement documents (IRDs) on multiple print platforms.
A feature of the software provides users the ability to print high volumes of IRDs of their "on-us" check images that are received from their image exchange partners that need to be included in monthly customer statements of account holders who request the return of their physical items.
Central to SunTrust's decision to select ExchangeGuard IRD is its need to print IRDs on multiple print platforms (for example, AFP or PCL) in its operations centers, as well as to implement a solution that is aligned with its existing IT standards. Additionally, SunTrust required a proven solution that could be quickly implemented.
"ExchangeGuard IRD met all of our requirements," said Donald Marks, VP of Image Delivery at SunTrust. "We are anticipating that this solution will help us quickly and efficiently take further advantage of the benefits created by Check 21."
"The experience we gained from our partnership with the Federal Reserve in 2000 in the areas of check image exchange and image replacement documents made us uniquely qualified to meet SunTrust's needs," said Ron Thompson, President of Fiserv Imagesoft. "Also, because of our extensive background in high-volume image statement production, we had the expertise to deliver the multi-platform, high-volume IRD production solution that SunTrust desired. We are very pleased to be able to put our experience and expertise to work for such a premier financial institution as SunTrust."
ExchangeGuard is an integrated suite of individual applications used for specific check image exchange processes, such as the assessment of image quality and usability, IRD composition and print, image and data routing, and endpoint determination. All ExchangeGuard applications share a common platform, database, user interface and decision support function.
