TheStreet.com and WOR Radio710AM Present Financial Fair; Financial Education Event Offers Self-Directed Investors Winning Investment Strategies
Business Wire, Oct 7, 2004
NEW YORK -- TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:TSCM), a leading multimedia provider of financial commentary, research, analysis and news and its radio partner, WOR Radio710AM, are sponsoring a financial fair designed to help self-directed investors map out their financial futures on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
The event will feature former hedge fund manager James J. Cramer and a panel of leading financial professionals who will offer attendees practical investment advice and specific stock strategies for this year and beyond.
"Due to the phenomenal success of Jim Cramer's radio program 'Jim Cramer's RealMoney' heard on WOR Radio710AM and 95 stations nationally, hosting this event with WOR was the logical next step in our mission to give investors the education and specific recommendations they need to effectively manage their investments," said Ed Delfs, TheStreet.com vice president of sales and strategic partnerships. "This is a must-attend event for market participants looking to benefit from the knowledge of some of the best financial minds in the industry."
"WOR Radio710AM is proud to team up with TheStreet.com to present this financial fair," said Jerry Crowley, WOR Radio710AM vice president and general sales manager. "The response to Jim Cramer's show, heard daily at 9 pm on WOR Radio710AM in New York, has been overwhelming. Since a financial luminary like Jim and the rest of the prestigious financial panel will be presenting their own, individual ideas on how investors can navigate the unpredictable financial markets, we are certain this conference will garner the same praise."
In addition to Mr. Cramer, the panel will include Jon Markman, co-portfolio manager of the Helios Equity Fund LLC and a contributor to "RealMoney.com," TheStreet.com's subscription service for active market participants and self-directed investors looking for timely, insightful, in-depth commentary and analysis of market-moving trends from experienced financial professionals. Other panelists include Barry Ritholtz, chief market strategist for Maxim Group and "RealMoney.com" contributor and William Gabrielski, TheStreet.com research associate and co-contributor of "TheStreet.com Stocks Under $10," TheStreet.com's subscription email alert service designed to help active market participants invest in stocks priced below $10 a share. David Morrow, TheStreet.com's editor-in-chief, will serve as the event's moderator.
The event is $79 per person. To register call 1-866-321-8726 or visit www.thestreet.com/financialfair
