CinemaNow Bolsters Movie Library with Addition of Sony Pictures; Users Can Download Sony's New Release and Library Titles via the CinemaNow Web Site

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- CinemaNow Inc., the leader in broadband content-on-demand distribution and technology, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI), a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, to deliver first-run pay-per-view and library titles for download via the CinemaNow Web site, www.cinemanow.com.

"For the past 5 years, CinemaNow has been devoted to building a sustainable business model for the distribution of video content through superior technology, marketing relationships with industry leaders and a focus on giving control to the consumers," said Bruce Eisen, executive vice president of CinemaNow. "The addition of Sony's high-caliber films to our existing library is a significant step forward in providing users with the greatest selection of movie content available on-demand via any platform."

As part of the agreement, CinemaNow will offer Sony's new release films the same day they become available in their traditional pay-per-view window along with previously released movies from Sony's vast film library. New release titles from Sony currently being offered by CinemaNow include the comedy "50 First Dates," starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, and the hit movie "Hellboy." All movies are offered on a 24 hour rental basis and priced at $3.99 for first-run films and $2.99 for library titles.

The CinemaNow library features more than 5,000 films, shorts, music concerts and television programs from over 200 licensors. More than 2,000 motion pictures are currently available on CinemaNow.com.
