Innkeepers USA Trust Doubles Common Stock Dividend

PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Innkeepers USA Trust (NYSE: KPA), a hotel real estate investment trust (REIT) and a leading owner of upscale, extended-stay hotel properties throughout the United States, today announced that its Board of Trustees has declared a regular common share dividend of $0.06 per share for the third quarter of 2004, an increase from the previous quarterly dividend of $0.03. The board also declared a regular dividend of $0.50 per Series C Cumulative Preferred share for the period of July 28, 2004, to October 26, 2004.

The common and Series C preferred dividends are payable October 26, 2004, to shareholders of record on September 24, 2004.
