Meningitis Vaccine Now Available; Parents and Doctors Urged to Get Vaccinations for Children

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians are updating a recommendation that infants and young children should receive four doses of the vaccine Prevnar. The Meningitis Foundation of America (MFA) agrees with this recommendation and says that the vaccine is very important in the fight against meningitis.
