Business Wire, Sept 2, 2004

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- PivX Solutions (OTCBB:PIVX), the leader in next generation host-based intrusion prevention software for the Windows enterprise security market, has added Mark Remington to its executive management team. As vice president of operations, Remington will be responsible for customer support and building and maintaining the network infrastructure to support the company's expected growth to ten million Qwik-Fix Pro customers by 2006.

Remington joins PivX from his role as CEO at Threat Focus, a security alert company, where he helped develop its network security assessment business from the ground up. At Threat Focus, Remington designed and implemented a comprehensive vulnerability assessment tool that automatically identified known vulnerabilities on network systems.

Remington has a diverse background in e-business, data center operations, information technology, customer service, project management, accounting and budgeting. With more than 15 years designing, building and maintaining secure corporate networks, Remington brings a practical, real-world approach to server and network security management. Before Threat Focus, Remington served as a senior operations executive at Concentric Network (acquired by XO Communications), Indicast Corporation, CQOS, Inc and Delta Internet Services.

"We were looking for a person with Mark's extensive security experience to help facilitate the rapid company growth of server and desktop installations of our Qwik-Fix Pro product," said Rob Shively, CEO at PivX. "Mark's background in building and managing multiple data centers for some of the largest network providers in the world gives us the extensive knowledge we need to support the worldwide growth of PivX Solutions."

"I look forward to building on my current network and infrastructure background with a forward-looking security company such as PivX," said Remington. "We are seeing the network security market change before our eyes. More and more companies now understand the need to protect their systems proactively before it is too late, with products like Qwik-Fix Pro."

Remington holds a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach.
