Analyst Firm Places Check Point in the Leader Quadrant in VPN Magic Quadrant; Company Evaluated for Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that it has been listed in the leader quadrant in Gartner's IPSec VPN Equipment Magic Quadrant report, published October 24, 2004. According to Gartner, the leader quadrant includes organizations that are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

Check Point was placed in the leader quadrant based on ability to execute and completeness of vision. Gartner specifically recognizes Check Point for "VPN Security Vision" particularly in authentication and remote client support. Additionally, Gartner acknowledges Check Point for its integration of Zone Labs endpoint security solutions to strengthen the company's remote client support.
