Business Wire, Sept 3, 2004
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Attensity Appoints Vice Presidents of Marketing and Professional Services, Expands into New Corporate Headquarters
Attensity, an innovator in unstructured data applications, today announced the appointment of Helena Winkler as vice president of marketing and Cal Sloan as vice president of professional services. To accommodate its ongoing growth, Attensity has also relocated its corporate headquarters to Palo Alto, a move that gives the company nearly double the square footage of its Mountain View, Calif. facility.
"In a time when so many companies are struggling to make ends meet, Attensity continues to make great strides in the market from a financial and technological perspective, as well as by growing our customer base," said Craig Norris, CEO of Attensity. "Helena and Cal add even greater depth and expertise to our executive team, and will be strong assets as we strive to help more organizations leverage their text-based data and gain the benefits of fusing it with structured information to provide more actionable information."
In her role as vice president of marketing, Winkler will oversee all of Attensity's marketing and communications initiatives worldwide. Winkler comes to Attensity with an outstanding 18-year track record of achieving marketing results both in start-up environments and multi-billion dollar corporations. Prior to Attensity, she was vice president of North American marketing at Actuate, where she led a wide range of marketing campaigns that had a direct, positive impact on the company's revenue. She has also held positions at BroadVision, Silicon Graphics and Sybase.
Sloan also brings a wealth of expertise to Attensity, including more than 20 years of experience in software development, deployment and support. As Attensity's vice president of professional services, he will oversee all customer implementations with the goal of maintaining the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. A recognized expert in Oracle E-Business Suite applications, Sloan has led multi-national implementations of a wide range of systems, including those involved in manufacturing, CRM, finance and distribution. Before joining Attensity, Sloan founded Insight Consulting Services, and held senior level positions at both KPMG Consulting and Oracle Corporation.
As part of its ongoing expansion, Attensity has relocated its corporate headquarters to a much larger facility located at 3600 West Bayshore Blvd., Suite 200, Palo Alto, CA 94303. This follows closely on the heels of the company's expansion into new sales offices in Detroit and Washington, D.C. Attensity's technology center remains in Salt Lake City, Utah.
