Los Angeles ``Foodies'' Will Eat, Sip and Be Merry at 17th Annual Great Tastes in Brentwood; Coldwell Banker's ``Food, Folks and Fundraiser'' to Benefit Local Schools
Business Wire, Sept 30, 2004
LOS ANGELES -- The Great Tastes in Brentwood, Los Angeles' favorite and longest-running food festival, will return this year on Sunday, Oct. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Now in its 17th year, this highly anticipated event will feature nearly two dozen restaurants from across Los Angeles, including the Westside communities of Brentwood, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Westwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills.
During the event, held outdoors on tree-lined San Vicente Boulevard between Barrington and Bringham avenues, attendees can sample "great tastes" from favorite restaurants, discover some new ones, enjoy live entertainment including some well known jazz bands, and benefit a good cause in the process.
The afternoon will feature a silent auction for exciting and exclusive prizes, including gift certificates to favorite restaurants, and a chance to win accommodations at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. There also will be gourmet cooking demonstrations, fun children's activities, a challenge course for adults and live jazz entertainment. To complement the appetizing food selections, a margarita bar and wine tastings from California wineries will be available for the connoisseur and novice alike.
Proceeds benefit the Palisades Charter Schools, Brentwood Science Magnet and University High School.
