Force Protection, Inc. Commemorates 9/11 with 'South Carolina Strikes Back' Ceremony; Congressmen Brown, DeMint to Offer Remarks

LADSON, S.C. -- Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP), will commemorate September 11, 2001 during "South Carolina Strikes Back," a ceremony officially recognizing delivery of the first of a new batch of top-rated mine and blast protected vehicles to the US Army and the US Marines in Iraq. The event will be held at Force Protection corporate headquarters on Friday, September 10, 2004, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 12:00 noon.

South Carolina Congressmen Henry Brown and Jim DeMint will speak at the event. Governor Mark Sanford and Congressman Joe Wilson have also been invited.

Force Protection, Inc. manufactures ballistic and mine protected vehicles through its wholly owned subsidiary, Technical Solutions Group (TSG). Its specialty vehicles are protected against landmines, hostile fire, Improvised Explosive Devices, small arms fire, and air bursts. Force Protection's Cougar Hardened Engineer Vehicle (Cougar HEV) is slated to go to combat engineers and explosive ordinance disposal teams now in Iraq before Thanksgiving.
