Business Wire Announces Promotion of Michael Becker to Director, Global Disclosure & Financial Reporting Services

NEW YORK -- Michael Becker has been promoted to director, global disclosure & financial reporting services, it was announced today by Cathy Baron Tamraz, president and chief operating officer of Business Wire.
"Michael has an outstanding knowledge of the intricacies of global disclosure and by bringing this knowledge to the table he can help Business Wire better provide sophisticated services and counsel to our members," said Tamraz. Becker joined Business Wire in 1999 as financial information services specialist. Prior to joining the company he worked for Capital Link, Inc. where he created and implemented comprehensive media and investor relations programs for the international investor relations firm's high profile clients, including SBF-Paris Bourse and the Athens Stock Exchange.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of NIRI New York as well as CoreFiling, a joint venture between Business Wire and UK-based DecisionSoft. He lives in New York City.
