AirDefense's Scott Hrastar Named one of InfoWorld Magazine's Top Chief Technology Officers for 2005

ATLANTA -- AirDefense, the leader in anywhere, anytime wireless security, today announced that Chief Technology Officer and co-founder Scott Hrastar has been named one of Infoworld Magazine's "Top 25 CTOs of 2005." The award acknowledges Hrastar's accomplishments at AirDefense, where he is responsible for the company's innovative wireless network security architecture and its patent-pending multidimensional approach to intrusion detection and prevention.
Chosen by InfoWorld's team of editors and leading CTOs from the publication's CTO Advisory Council, the award winners were selected for demonstrating innovative technical accomplishments, results-driven vision and range of influence both inside and outside their companies.

Dr. Scott Hrastar is a veteran of the networking industry, with 17 years of experience in the area of network communications architecture, network management, network protocol development and computer systems security. He has published a number of industry papers and has been granted thirteen U.S. patents, with fifteen others pending. Hrastar holds the B.S.E.E. degree from the Ohio State University, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
