AppIQ Demonstrates Leadership in Managing Heterogeneous Storage Infrastructure at Storage Networking World, Spring 2005
Business Wire, April 11, 2005
PHOENIX -- This week at Storage Networking World (SNW), Spring 2005 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, AppIQ(TM), Inc., a leading provider of software solutions that enable data storage to be managed as a business-focused IT utility, will again demonstrate its leadership in managing multi-vendor data storage infrastructure. Enterprise IT organizations will see numerous examples of how AppIQ software reduces the costs of managing growing storage capacity while improving storage service quality and data availability.
--AppIQ StorageAuthority(R) Suite, the company's award-winning storage area network (SAN) management and storage resource management (SRM) solution family, will be featured in the SNW Interoperability & Solutions Demo. Showcased in the exhibit's Storage Management theme area, AppIQ's management software will demonstrate how the Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S) can be used to deliver standards-based provisioning, monitoring, and reporting on storage systems, fabric switches, and tape libraries from multiple storage vendors, including ADIC, Brocade, EMC, Engenio, IBM, HP, McDATA, NetApp, and Xiotech. As a prerequisite for participating in this demo, AppIQ played an instrumental role in SMI-Lab5, a highly recognized collaborative event held at the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Technology Center in Colorado. SMI-Lab5 is helping accelerate the delivery of SMI-S-compliant products from SNIA member companies to simplify the management of heterogeneous storage infrastructure.
--OEM versions of AppIQ's management software will be demonstrated throughout the SNW expo in the exhibits of AppIQ's strategic OEM partners:
--Engenio will demonstrate Storage Performance Analyzer, Powered by AppIQ, in Booth G12.
