In addition, SeeBeyond customer, HypoVereinsbank (HVB) Americas, will address how it is leveraging the SeeBeyond Integrated Composite Application Network Suite (SeeBeyond ICAN Suite) to significantly reduce costs, deliver improved competitive advantage and increase operating margins.

The annual conference series aims to provide guidance and insight to Business and IT leaders looking to apply process thinking to critical business processes for organizational effectiveness. The first event in the series kicks off this week, and is being held April 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

"You Can't Implement BPM With BPM"

As a premier sponsor of the event, SeeBeyond CTO, Ross Altman, will deliver a keynote presentation entitled, "You Can't Implement BPM with BPM." Claiming it takes much more than basic BPM functionality to implement an effective BPM solution, Altman will address the importance of also having application integration, B2B communications, portal, Business Activity Monitoring and Master Data Management capabilities in order to create a framework that can fully support BPM requirements. The keynote session will take place during an executive luncheon on Wednesday, April 13 from 12:15 - 1:30 p.m.

Altman will also participate on a panel entitled "BPM Thought Leaders: What's Ahead." Hosted by Janelle Hill, Vice President of Research - Practice Lead for BPM at the MetaGroup, this panel brings together thought leaders in BPM to discuss the future of Business Process Management, from both a business and a technology perspective. Leveraging BPM in Uniting People, Process and Technology

In a customer case study presentation, HVB Americas' Managing Director & COO Christopher Wrenn, and Managing Director and CIO David Dart, will share with attendees how the Bank has been able to increase transaction volume and significantly reduce costs, delivering improved competitive advantage and increased operating margins.

As part of the Corporates and Markets division of HVB, the second largest bank in Germany, HVB Americas came to SeeBeyond with a set of business problems common to providers of financial services. From deal capture and trade processing through back-office confirmation and settlement, HVB was looking for a process integration and automation capability that could ultimately support process re-engineering.

Leveraging the BPM capabilities in the SeeBeyond ICAN Suite to develop a composite application-based, real-time exception notification and management dashboard, HVB Americas has re-engineered its processes while staying within its existing packaged application environment. The transaction error rate is now near zero for a number of the Bank's products, and it has been estimated that HVB recovered the cost of investment in the integration platform within three to six months.
