Brillian Corp.'s Auditors Expressed Going-Concern Qualification

Business Wire, April 12, 2005

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Brillian Corp. (Nasdaq: BRLC), a designer and developer of 720p and 1080p HDTVs based on its proprietary UltraContrast(TM) Gen II liquid-crystal-on-silicon LCoS(TM) technology, today announced that its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended 2004 includes a report from its independent auditors that contains a going-concern qualification. Nasdaq rules require a listed company to publicly announce the inclusion in its Form 10-K of an audit opinion containing a going-concern.

The reason for the going-concern qualification is because the company has incurred recurring operating losses and negative cash flows since its inception. "We are continuing to take the appropriate steps to address our current financial situation and we believe we will be successful," said Wayne Pratt, Brillian's vice president and chief financial officer.
