Prosoft Learning Corp. Announces Addition of Global Knowledge as CTP Affiliate
Business Wire, April 13, 2005
PHOENIX -- Prosoft Learning Corp. (NASDAQ: POSO), a leading provider of technology learning solutions and a leader in workforce development, today announced that Global Knowledge, the largest privately held provider of training and enterprise learning services for Information Technology (IT) and management professionals, has become a CTP (Convergence Technologies Professional) affiliate. Under the terms of the affiliation agreement, Global Knowledge will promote Prosoft's convergence technologies training programs to enable students to prepare for the CTP exam.
Global Knowledge will also promote and recommend selected Prosoft CTP materials to enhance its own convergence training. These materials include the official CTP Exam Study Guide and CTP AssessPREP, the official CTP test preparation tool. Global Knowledge will promote Prosoft's CTP certification materials to its customers via its Web site, catalogs, e-mail newsletters, and one-page informational inserts included in its student kits.
Endorsed by industry leaders like Avaya, Cisco and Toshiba, the CTP program fulfills a critical need for integrated telephony, networking and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) skills. It especially appeals to students who need to upgrade their skill sets to encompass these increasingly required competencies.
Benjamin Fink, president and CEO of Prosoft, is happy with the arrangement. He said, "So many organizations have employees who know digital but not analog, or voice but not data, or data but not video -- this list goes on and on. The reason that so many blue chip companies have endorsed CTP is that it was designed to allow everyone involved with convergent networks to speak a common language. Our alliance with Global Knowledge will bring exposure for CTP to potential students that we could not have reached on our own. Together we will make a significant impact in the industry by reaching those who build, use, sell or maintain convergent networks and articulating the value of CTP certification."
"We are committed to helping our customers gain the required skills and certifications for implementing convergence technologies," said Mike Walsh, director of product management, Advanced Networking for Global Knowledge. "Our comprehensive instruction combined with Prosoft's certification materials will help convergence technologies professionals receive the best-in-class training and certification support available."
The CTP program, owned by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), is a high-stakes, vendor-neutral certification that certifies mastery of the skills required to sell, install or support integrated voice, data and video technologies such as VoIP.
