Karta Technologies Renames its Web-Based Information Security Training Solution; Train2Secure, Formerly Known as the IT Security Library — Same Product, New Name
Business Wire, April 14, 2005
SAN ANTONIO -- Karta Technologies, Inc., a leader in security training solutions, announced it will be adopting a new name for its web-based security training product. Karta's Train2Secure solution, formerly known as the IT Security Library, is the first e-learning program to be certified for its 100% mapping to the National Security Telecommunications and Information System Security Instruction 4013 by the National Security Agency and Committee on National Security Systems.
Launched in 2001, Karta has implemented its web-based security training solution in over 30 federal agencies including: The Federal Bureau of Investigation, The Environmental Protection Agency, The Department of Interior, The Department of Education and The Social Security Agency. The product has evolved, and Karta and its customers agree that the name, Train2Secure, more effectively conveys the essence and scope of the program.
G.P. Singh, Ph.D., P.E., President and CEO, said, "Karta has been highly successful in developing and implementing a broad range of information security training solutions for its federal government and commercial customers. Over 250,000 users have completed our IT Security Awareness course which has helped federal agencies to meet their Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA) requirements. We believe this transition to a new product name will make it easier for potential customers to understand Karta's product and services portfolio. As simple as it is, the new name, Train2Secure, is a much better fit for the product, and speaks more to the expectations of our target audience."
