Business Wire, April 18, 2005

FREMONT, Calif. -- Cyclades Corporation, the leader in next-generation IT infrastructure management, today announced that its AlterPath(TM) ACS16 console server has been chosen as a Network Computing Well-Connected Award Finalist. All awards finalists must be selected by the technical editors from CMP Media LLC's Network Computing based on in-depth product reviews. As a result, the Well-Connected Awards recipients and finalists have earned a high level of prestige in the technology industry.

"For the 11th year in a row, Network Computing will be recognizing the most outstanding tech products and services in the networking and IT world in our Well-Connected award April 28 issue," says Mike Lee, editor of Network Computing magazine. "The awards are a snapshot in time, the best of what we evaluated over 12 months in our Real-World Labs(R). More than 134 finalists in more than 44 categories have been named. The winners will be announced in our April 28 issue."

Network Computing editor Curtiss Franklin, Jr. reviewed the AlterPath ACS16 console server in the magazine's October 1, 2004 issue. In the review, Franklin stated that the Cyclades AlterPath ACS16 was "an incredibly rich console server package" with "the greatest number of options for security and configuration of the devices we tested." The article is available online at: http://www.nwc.com/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=47900465&pgno=3.

The AlterPath ACS16 is a key component of the Cyclades AlterPath System, the most comprehensive solution available for building and operating an out-of-band infrastructure. The AlterPath System includes serial console servers, KVM switches, blade managers, service processor managers and the AlterPath Manager, which consolidates the out-of-band products into a comprehensive remote IT administration system. All Cyclades AlterPath products are based on the same core technology and are designed from inception to work with all IT platforms, operating systems and hardware.

"Cyclades customers have consistently praised the AlterPath ACS16 as a vital, reliable component that helps reduce IT operational costs and risks," said Daniel Dalarossa, Cyclades CEO. "The prestige inferred from being a Network Computing Well-Connected Finalist illustrates the value and performance our customers enjoy every day in their enterprises."
