LAS VEGAS -- DG2L Technologies today announces the release of several new products including the new Phoenix H.264 Encoder, Neuron 2000 HD Set-top Box and High Definition Digital Cinema System, further extending its global lead providing the world's most comprehensive suite of Cinema Quality MPEG4 product lines. DG2L products are designed for advanced studio production, multi-network broadcasting, and the most versatile Digital and E-Cinema system solutions. DG2L's complete line of Broadcast, IPTV and Digital Cinema product lines are helping companies worldwide deploy complete end-to-end solutions, achieving real revenue generation, and unprecedented ROI in rich media delivery, over multi-network delivery systems.

"We are very proud to announce and demonstrate our new complete line of H.264 broadcast encoders, decoders, IRD, and STB products, we feel they have raised the standard of cost to performance and broadcast image quality in the market today," said A.K. Sheth, CEO of DG2L Technologies.

The Phoenix H.264 Encoder is an advanced DSP-based MPEG4 - H.264 encoding device which provides true broadcast-quality audio/video at far lower bandwidth than any other product in the industry.

"We evaluated literally every single H.264 encoding and decoding solution available in the market, not one of them really delivered on the promise of broadcast quality video at substantially lower bandwidth than MPEG-2. We were surprised and elated once we evaluated the DG2L Phoenix H.264 Encoder. The visual image quality is true broadcast quality, and the bandwidth efficiency is the best we have seen," said Jason Ferrar, CTO, Legend Entertainment. "The solution delivered the critical reliability we needed, and is extremely versatile providing additional applications and interfaces for Video over IP, Video over DVB, and a perfect video backhaul interface," said Ferrar.

Other features of the DG2L Phoenix H.264 encoder include: ISMA Compliant Streaming, Industry Standard Playback, Multiple Network Support incuding IP, DVB, with Remote Management and Configuration capabilities and matching H.264 IRD.

Showing at NAB 2005 will be the newest version of the Neuron family of STBs, the critically acclaimed Neuron 2000 H.264 STB, the most powerful H.264 STB in the marketplace. Also on hand at NAB will be the Neuron 1000 HDTV STB, the most powerful and versatile STB in the market with advanced features like PVR/DVR, with Integrated 80GB HDD. Multiple USB ports, full 5.1 surround sound, Smart Card Reader, MPEG-1, 2, 4, and WM9 all fully supported in both SD and HDTV. Network interfaces include IP, DVB-C, DVB-T and DVB-S.
