Dale Kutnick Joins Gartner

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB), the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, announced today that Dale Kutnick has joined the Company as Senior Vice President, Director of Research. Mr. Kutnick is the co-founder and former Chairman of META Group, which Gartner acquired on April 1, 2005.
Mr. Kutnick, who will be based in Stamford and report to Gene Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Gartner, will work with Gartner's research groups to assist in the development of the Company's research agenda and products, and provide counsel on new business strategies. He will also continue to fulfill client engagements and provide assistance on the integration of META Group. In his new position, Mr. Kutnick will work closely with Robin Kranich, Gartner's Senior Vice President, Research Operations and Business Development, and Peter Sondergaard, the Company's Senior Vice President, Research.

Mr. Kutnick founded META Group in 1989 and served as the company's CEO from 1989 to 2002 and Chairman from 1998 until the Company's acquisition by Gartner earlier this month. Prior to founding META, he held research positions with Gartner, Yankee Group and Battery Ventures, a venture capital firm. Mr. Kutnick received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
