About the Connie and Hervey Feldman Awards
To merit the Connie Awards given, all properties were assessed by the internal Quality Assurance Team of Embassy Suites Hotels. During unannounced visits, the properties were evaluated in every area of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, "back-of-the-house" kitchens and parking lots. Each hotel's overall score was derived from an average of the property's ratings throughout 2004. Additionally, the GSRS evaluated product and service satisfaction scores, based on customer surveys conducted by an independent third-party survey company. Randomly selected customers rated various aspects of their hotel experience, from initial reservation to checkout. The Hervey Feldman Award is named in honor of one of the pioneers of the Embassy Suites brand and the brand's first president and recognizes Embassy Suites' General Manager of the Year.
