"This announcement further demonstrates that the power of ARM is not just in the processors themselves, but also in the wide range of supporting solutions that enable OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and ODMs (original design manufacturers) to get to market quicker."

"ARM is an important ally in our mission to streamline the process of making digital media players compatible with Audible's rich content selection and audiobook listening features," stated Foy Sperring, senior vice president, Strategic Alliances, Audible, Inc.

The Audible Software Development Kit enables integrated circuit vendors such as those licensing the ARM CPU core, as well as OEMs of mobile audio devices and ODMs, to simply and rapidly adopt Audible's technology for seamless download, transfer, and playback of Audible's spoken word audio.
