M&T Bank Deploys Online Fraud Management Protection from Symantec; Symantec Online Fraud Management Solution Helps Protect Customers, Thwarts Brand Spoofing, Phishing and Identity Theft

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), the global leader in information security, today announced that M&T Bank Corporation (NYSE:MTB) is using the Symantec Online Fraud Management Solution to help protect itself and its customers from email fraud and phishing. Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, M&T is a $52.9 billion bank holding company whose banking subsidiaries, M&T Bank and M&T Bank, National Association, operate more than 660 branch offices in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia.
Under the terms of a three-year agreement with Symantec, M&T Bank, will help protect itself and its customers by deploying the Symantec Online Fraud Management Solution to detect fraudulent email, and offer its customers Web-based education and products that can help reduce exposure to spam, spyware, phishing and identity theft attempts.
