Business Wire, April 4, 2005

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- NetManage, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM), a software company that provides solutions for integrating, Web enabling and accessing enterprise information systems, today announced the general availability of OnWeb(R) 7.2. This expanded product offering extends data access and integration capabilities for enterprise applications including SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Siebel and JD Edwards, through .NET and Java-based connectors.

OnWeb is a single solution that transforms host processes, business logic and data into reusable components, such as Web services, .NET Assemblies, JavaBeans, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) and portlets, which can be integrated with other enterprise applications or be used as components in a new application. OnWeb applications can be presented in a wide range of formats and accessible from Web browsers, PDAs, and other mobile devices.

"In today's complex business environment, the need for real-time information from corporate systems has forced enterprises to recognize the value of application and system integration. However, in many instances, an enterprise environment is made up of several disparate applications, legacy systems and incompatible architectures that pose a challenge for sharing data across applications and integrating these systems," said Zvi Alon, president, CEO and chairman of NetManage, Inc. "OnWeb offers a flexible, secure and easy-to-deploy solution that empowers customers to develop new business initiatives quickly and easily by leveraging existing investments in enterprise information systems and realizing a return on their investment in a matter of days."

New Features and Capabilities for OnWeb 7.2 include:

--Enhanced Security -- Improved SSL and SSH support, as well as support for Kerberos, providing single sign-on capabilities for IBM iSeries users.

--Integration -- Support for OnWeb connectors, extends data, transactions and integration capabilities to ERP and CRM systems, databases, middleware as well as Microsoft BizTalk 2004 increasing end user efficiency and productivity. The new connectors allow end users to integrate and present information from different hosts, applications and databases without redundancy and duplication.

--Manageability -- Enhanced monitoring and reporting capabilities, allowing management to stay informed and in control of end user activities.

--Platform Support -- Enhanced multi-platform capabilities include support for Linux and IBM AIX systems, allowing end users to leverage OnWeb with the systems that reflect their current IT environment.
