Symantec Experts to Speak at GFIRST National Conference

Designed to draw public and private sector experts together for discussions on information security technologies, strategies and procedures, the conference provides an exchange of perspective and ideas for federal government information security response teams in the military, intelligence and law enforcement communities. The presentation will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. McCumber will outline key risk management criteria for enterprises and offer recommendations for achieving mission-appropriate balances of IT asset security and high availability. Friedrichs will outline current trends pertaining to IT vulnerability totals, network attack activity, malicious code developments, and future concepts to monitor going forward. His remarks will also describe mitigating strategies for countering evolving information security threats.
