Realtek Joins Open Core Protocol International Partnership

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP) today announces that Realtek Semiconductor Corp. has joined the organization. Utilizing OCP technology allows Realtek to bring costs down on existing technologies while maintaining strong features and quality devices. OCP also allows Realtek's customers to reduce design times, risks and costs and quickly introduce highly competitive solutions.

The addition of Realtek to the membership roster adds to the tremendous support that OCP-IP has already enjoyed throughout Asia and adds to membership including Semiconductor Technology Academic Research Center (STARC), FueTrek, Yamaha, Governing Steering Committee member, Toshiba, Kawasaki, Zuken and several leading universities.
