Samsung Electronics Licenses Synplicity's ASIC Synthesis Software; Samsung Adopts High-Performance Synplify ASIC Software, Enabling Customers to Achieve Outstanding Quality of Results

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Synplicity Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNP), a leading supplier of software for the design and verification of semiconductors, today announced its Synplify ASIC(R) synthesis software has been adopted by Samsung Electronics Co. and may now be used by Samsung's ASIC customers. As a part of the relationship between the two companies, Samsung is integrating Synplicity's ASIC synthesis software into its ASIC design flow as a qualified ASIC synthesis solution. In addition, Synplicity has added Samsung as the latest member of the Synplify ASIC vendor support program.
