Business Wire, April 6, 2005

TORONTO -- Swiss Medica (OTCBB:SWME) is pleased to announce its business relationship with two distinguished Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) scientists through its recent acquisition of Anti-Depression BioHealth Solutions Inc. ("ADBS"). As part of the terms of the alliance, Swiss Medica has an option to acquire all over-the-counter products developed by Back Bay Scientific Inc. and this proven team of world class scientists, with certain limited exceptions.

Back Bay Scientific's products have been developed through the research conducted by Doctors Richard and Judith Wurtman. The married MIT scientists have a long history of groundbreaking research and successful products, including the patented discovery of new uses for Prozac. They have authored many publications in leading research journals, and Dr. Judith Wurtman has also appeared in the national mainstream media on numerous occasions, including the Oprah television show.

Richard Wurtman M.D. is the Cecil H. Green Distinguished Professor of Neuropharmacology and Director, Clinical Research Center, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. Judith Wurtman, PhD is the author of five books, the most recent being The Serotonin Solution. Dr. Wurtman's research has focused on the connection between the brain, behavior, and eating. Doctors Richard and Judith Wurtman identified the brain chemical serotonin as being involved in the abnormal food intake of obese carbohydrate cravers, women and premenstrual syndrome, smoking withdrawal, and Seasonal Affective Disorder.

"We are tremendously excited about this alliance because we believe Swiss Medica now has a product development arm that is second to none," explained Raghu Kilambi, CEO of Swiss Medica.
