Mooney Airplane Selects Microsoft Axapta to Replace Its Current SAP Solution; Leading Aircraft Manufacturer to Replace SAP R3 with Microsoft Axapta from Junction Solutions
Business Wire, April 6, 2005
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. -- Junction Solutions, a leading provider of vertical industry focused enterprise software and services based on Microsoft Axapta, today announced that the Mooney Airplane Company has selected the Microsoft Axapta ERP solution from Junction Solutions to replace its current SAP system in order to greatly improve its manufacturing and service operations. In addition, the company plans to use Junction Solution's integrated Multi-Channel Retail functionality to better manage its aircraft components business through orders received via the catalog, internet and call center.
Mooney chose Junction Solutions' Microsoft Axapta system for its end-to-end business support, from HR self-service to production planning to order management. The solution is used extensively by more than 4,000 companies, with more than three quarters of all customers achieving their return on investment in less than two years. Microsoft Axapta was built to support growing mid-market companies, with a flexible, modular architecture to make it easy to "turn on" new features as the business grows and changes. In addition, the Microsoft platform assures easy interoperability, provides low total cost of ownership, leverages existing Microsoft infrastructure, and provides a comfortable working environment for users. Junction's integrated Multi-Channel Retail functionality will allow Mooney to address the unique challenges of measuring marketing effectiveness, improving customer service and streamlining order fulfillment, while providing control and integration of processes, systems and channels.
"Mooney is a brand that inspires loyalty and passion within its customer base. We are pleased to be working with a growing company that is renowned in the aviation industry and look forward to making a significant positive impact on their operations this year with the Microsoft Axapta solution," said Brian Carpizo, President at Junction Solutions.
"We believe Microsoft Axapta is the perfect fit for the growing and complex needs of our business," said Gretchen Jahn, CEO at Mooney. "Microsoft Axapta offers the greatest breadth of ERP functionality among those we evaluated, and had the best ratio of price to value received. We are very comfortable with the caliber of professional services and support offered by Junction Solutions."
