inSilica Bolsters Management Team; Appoints Balaji Baktha former Marvell VP and GM as President & CEO; Promotes Anant Agarwal as Vice Chairman of the Board

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- inSilica, a fabless semiconductor company, announced Thursday that Balaji Baktha, former Vice President and General Manager of Marvell Semiconductors' Embedded and Emerging Business Unit, has joined inSilica as it's President and CEO.

At Marvell, Balaji was the Vice President and General Manager of the Embedded and Emerging Business Unit since 2003. Prior to that, Balaji served as Vice President of Marketing for Adaptec's Storage Networking Group responsible for developing and implementing its marketing strategy. Balaji came into Adaptec through their acquisition of Platys in 2001. Balaji was a Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Platys Communications, a storage networking company. Earlier, Balaji held various executive-level marketing and business development positions at SCM Micro Systems and Shuttle Technology since 1991.
