NetManage OnWeb Mobile Streamlines Ordering Process for Food Manufacturer and Distributor; Embutidos Estevez Increases Customer Satisfaction and Sales Force Efficiency with NetManage OnWeb Mobile
Business Wire, August 1, 2005
CUPERTINO, Calif. -- NetManage, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM), a software company that provides solutions for accessing, Web enabling and integrating enterprise information systems, today announced that Embutidos Estevez, S.A., meat processor and distributor, has selected NetManage OnWeb Mobile(TM) to streamline its ordering process. NetManage OnWeb Mobile improves employee productivity and enhances customer satisfaction at Embutidos Estevez by helping its sales force place orders in real-time, providing customers with up-to-the-minute product availability.
Embutidos Estevez processes and distributes meat products to large food distribution centers. The company's sales force had to go through a difficult ordering process and depended on point-of-sales (PoS) terminals to place orders. These PoS terminals required dial-up access to finalize the order and prevented them from immediately inputting orders at customer's offices. The company needed to provide its sales force with a more efficient way to communicate in real time, with its IBM iSeries system, databases and applications, as well as improve its distribution and sales processes. Embutidos Estevez selected the NetManage OnWeb Mobile solution, enabling its sales force to send orders in real-time and provide up-to-date information to its customers.
"Our previous ordering process was inefficient and error prone," said Miguel Angel Torres, IT director at Embutidos Estevez. "With NetManage's OnWeb Mobile, we have optimized our ordering process and simplified overall sales transactions by reducing the time required to place an order and increasing the accuracy of our clients' requests."
"NetManage OnWeb Mobile provides an innovative solution for enterprises, helping our customers leverage their IT investments by giving them easy access to critical business applications, securely and cost-effectively," said Zvi Alon, president, chairman and CEO of NetManage.
NetManage OnWeb Mobile enables comprehensive access to enterprise systems by Web enabling legacy applications without affecting the host system's environment. By supporting iSeries, mainframe and packaged applications, as well as .NET and J2EE applications, NetManage OnWeb Mobile enables fast implementation, gives customers real-time access to corporate information and delivers a quick return on investment.
