Business Wire, August 1, 2005
SAN FRANCISCO -- InfoWorld, the leading provider of comprehensive technology information, today announced the 24 recipients of its Innovator 2005 awards, representing 12 technology teams. Five additional technology visionaries were named Ones to Watch in 2006. Results appear in the August 1, 2005 edition of InfoWorld and are available online as a PDF at: www.infoworld.com/3080 (free registration required).
The annual InfoWorld awards recognize individuals whose vision and expertise are directing the future of enterprise technology and who have had a significant impact on the evolution of the tech world. In addition to being added to our Innovators Hall of Fame, InfoWorld also honors several up-and-coming leaders. Final selections were made by the InfoWorld senior editorial staff. The awards process was open to outside nominations.
"By abandoning business as usual, these honorees are striking new paths to efficiency and reliability across the board, from more vigilant security systems to robust Web services architectures," said Richard Gincel, InfoWorld associate editor. "Thanks to the ideas and efforts of these groundbreaking individuals, technology advancements on several fronts -- XQuery, 64-bit computing, and SOA, to name a few -- are gaining momentum.
