NFR Security's Andre Yee Named One of InfoWorld Magazine's ''Ones to Watch for 2006''; CEO Recognized for Unmatched Technological Innovation and Industry Leadership
Business Wire, August 1, 2005
ROCKVILLE, Md. -- NFR Security, Inc., the leader in Real-Time Threat Protection(TM), today announced that InfoWorld has named its President and CEO, Andre Yee, an industry-leading innovator and a "One to Watch for 2006." As part of a special "InfoWorld Innovators" report released today, Andre and several other industry leaders have been recognized for creatively pushing the boundaries to accelerate the evolution of information technology.
The annual InfoWorld Innovator awards recognize individuals whose vision and expertise are directing the future of enterprise technology and who have had a significant impact on the evolution of the tech world. In addition to being added to the Innovators Hall of Fame, InfoWorld also honors several up-and-coming leaders. This year, a total of five technology visionaries, including Andre Yee, were named "Ones to Watch" in 2006.
"By abandoning business as usual, these honorees are striking new paths to efficiency and reliability across the board, from more vigilant security systems to robust Web services architectures," said Richard Gincel, InfoWorld associate editor. "Thanks to the ideas and efforts of these groundbreaking individuals, technology advancements on several fronts -- XQuery, 64-bit computing, and SOA, to name a few -- are gaining momentum. In turn, we are pleased to honor those who are leading the way with their ingenuity."
Specifically, Andre has been recognized as a "One to Watch" for his work in creating new technologies within NFR Security's Sentivist(TM) line of intrusion prevention solutions which address two critical issues that have plagued security managers for years: false positives and patch gaps. As the driving force behind NFR Security's technological innovations, Andre has taken the company's award-winning intrusion prevention solution a step further with the rollout of the Sentivist Real-Time Threat Protection line of products. The product suite features the Dynamic Shielding Architecture(TM) which protects the network against existing vulnerabilities and unauthorized changes to the network environment. It enables a new security environment that is aware of network threat points and can adapt to those changes to ensure continuous protection. The Confidence Indexing(TM) feature within Sentivist allows security managers to calibrate the level of prevention according to the value of the asset being protected, and puts the control over false-positives within the user's hands.
"I firmly believe that with today's multi-faceted threats, a comprehensive approach to network security is needed," said Andre Yee. "This prestigious award is recognition of the creativity and hard work of everyone at NFR Security to deliver innovative products to market."
