NEW YORK -- Salomon Brothers 2008 Worldwide Dollar Government Term Trust Inc, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "SBG," announces a distribution of $0.06300 per common share for the months of September, October and November 2005. The Trust had previously paid a monthly distribution rate of $0.07300 per common share, a rate the Trust had maintained since its inception in 1993. The distribution schedules for these months appears below:

The Trust is decreasing its distributions as a result of portfolio repositioning that reduced overall risk in anticipation of the Trust's 2008 termination date. To that end, the Trust reduced duration and increased overall credit quality, resulting in a modest reduction in income.
